I know I've sucked really bad at being active online lately. My new job has kept me very busy, mostly because the commute is kind of painful. But I'm getting the hang of things now, and it seems I finally have enough energy that I think I'll be able to fit more personal artwork into my schedule. First on my list, Unholy! I'm DYING to work on it again!

But realistically, I just don't have time to do it like I did it back when I was in school. There's a chance that I might end up posting just uncolored inks instead of full color. But I haven't decided yet. I really hate posting unfinished stuff! But then maybe posting at least the inks is better than posting nothing... Such a hard decision!

Anyway... not that I have anything against the rack of lamb or the Johnsonville Bratz, but the next several pieces I do -- both Unholy stuff and other stuff -- will be more "pretty," and I'll pay more attention to the rendering and technical stuff. Because I miss that, especially since for the past three months I've just been doing art directing and quickie concept art.

Also, I'm sooo sorry for not replying to everyone who's commented, favorited my stuff, and/or watched me over the past three months. I really appreciate each and every favorite, comment, and watch, and I apologize that I couldn't thank everyone personally. But like I said, it's definitely appreciated!

Wow, that was a lot of babbling!

Hahaha, yeah right. Try 5,000 pageviews. But I'm still excited! Looks like I'll probably get there before the end of the year, so yay. I'll try to draw a little picture around that time... These pageviews didn't come fast or easy, so I'm grateful to all the people who came to see my artwork!

I've been seriously lagging on Unholy, and on new artwork in general. I'm currently working on a Christmas commission that I'll be able to post slightly before Christmas. (I have to wait until the gift is given so I don't spoil the surprise.) After that, it's time for Unholy! I've been concepting a lot for it, but I need to get to it and start drawing.

I'm starting a new job on January 2! FINALLY, my first full time art job out of college. ^_^ I'll be busy, but I think the job will actually help me be more productive in my personal work. It always seems to go that way.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I finally have a new computer that can keep up with large image files. That means that I can resume work on Unholy! I plan on posting new pages from this week, but it's been such a long time since I've posted pages that I thought it would be a good idea to give everyone a chance to easily review it from the beginning.

I've also finally gotten around to actually uploading the newest versions of each page. Early this summer I redid the text used for the narration but never actually uploaded the corrected files. Well, here they are! For new readers, it's worth mentioning that Unholy uses an experimental "hybrid" format somewhere between a written novel and a traditional graphic novel, so there are times when it's pretty text-heavy.

On a side note, all of the comic pages included below have "previous page" and "next page" links within their description, so you don't have to come back to this journal just to find the next page.

Yeah, so I don't usually do meme's on DA, but I got tagged by *emla, and I'm scared to death of her and will do whatever she says. (just kidding. ^_^ Actually, she's just a super cool dude.) Anyway, on with it!

1. I love dumb animals. I have four dumb animals of my own -- two dumb ferrets and two dumb parrots. ^_^ Putting my own pets aside (because I love them all), if I had to choose a favorite animal species, it would totally be ferrets. If you own ferrets, you never go a day without laughing.

2. The original idea for Unholy came from a dream I had, as many of my story ideas do. (For school buddies who have seen ahead in the story -- even the "Coalition cats" came from the dream.) What was not included in the dream was Pogo (the main character)!

3. I almost decided to go into writing instead of art. Sometimes I wonder if I made the wrong choice, but it's too late to go back now! But honestly, it's probably for the best. I like doing both, and I continue to do both -- but without my training in art, I would suck so much worse at it.

4. I just got a new Macbook Pro, and I love it! It's my first Mac. But it has Windows on it as well, just so I could use WordPerfect. If WordPerfect were a person, I'd marry it. Hmm... maybe I'll use WordPerfect to type up a fake marriage license...

5. I watched The Pianist last night, and it was awesome. I'm soooo slow when it comes to watching movies. It sometimes takes me years to get around to seeing movies I want to see.

6. My favorite cereals are Kix, Rice Chex, and Corn Flakes. There might be some other that I'm forgetting, but I really love cereal -- especially the "bland" ones.

7. In real life, people are scared of me because I'm really weird and always say random (and often inappropriate) things.

8. My parents are from India. (South India -- Madras, and a non-Hindu area.) I look Indian, but act American.

So I finally decided to stop being stingy and got myself a prints account. I've created 22 prints from the deviations I already have.

This is gonna sound like a really hilarious joke, but I'll say it anyway. If there was any other piece I've done that anyone was hoping to get as a print, let me know and I'll upload it. I can upload any of them except for the Clue piece, Razor Advertisement, or Mel Gibson from Braveheart. But yeah, anything else, including scraps.
